    🙋 Recipe FAQ's

    Can I freeze garlic-parmesan wings?

Yes, if put in a freezer-safe container the wings will keep up to 6 months.

How do you reheat chicken wings?

Put the wings on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in a 350℉ oven for 20 minutes.

Are garlic parmesan wings gluten free?

Yes, this garlic parmesan wing recipe is a gluten-free, grain-free, low-carb, keto favorite!

What is the best oil for deep frying?

Any oil with a high smoke point, meaning it can reach temperatures of 400 degrees or higher. My favorite is peanut oil, but canola oil, corn oil, and vegetable oil work for deep frying also.

    💭 Tips

    • If using frozen wings, make sure the chicken wings are thawed throughout.
    • Salt the chicken wings overnight to draw out any extra water for extra crispy chicken skin.
    • Use canned parmesan cheese as freshly grated parmesan will melt.
    • When using whole chicken wings cut off the wing tips then slice through the joint, detaching the drummette from the wing.
    • Wear a pair of fryer gloves to save yourself from burns.

    📖 Variations

    • Toss ¼ cup of hot sauce to the garlic parmesan chicken wings and serve with a side of blue cheese dressing for delicious parmesan buffalo wings.
    • For a lemon pepper chicken wings recipe by tossing the wings in lemon juice and black pepper and finishing with fresh parsley.
    • Enjoy spicy garlic parmesan wings, simply add red pepper flakes when the parmesan cheese is added.
    • Toss cut chicken tenders in the garlic parmesan sauce for a delicious boneless chicken wing recipe!

    🏫 What I've Learned

This recipe can have the same crispy results with fewer calories by cooking garlic parmesan wings in the air fryer. Frying with oil can be hazardous and messy but with air frying the mess is minimal and everything is contained.

Unlike deep frying, making garlic parmesan wings in the air fryer doesn't require oil. Air frying has a longer cook time, but a shorter clean-up time, plus this method drastically reduces calories, saving up room for extra dipping sauce!

    Air Fryer Method

    1. Arrange the chicken wings in the air fryer basket.
    2. Set heat for 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
    3. Remove the air fryer basket and flip the wings.
    4. Return basket to the air fryer, turn the heat to 400 degrees, and cook for 15 minutes more, or until wings are crispy.
    5. Toss with the garlic parmesan sauce and serve hot.
