These Keto Salmon Patties are a delicious way to enjoy salmon on the keto diet. They are delicious with this smoky dill sauce and make a great lunch or light evening meal.

Cream colored plate with 3 keto salmon patties and 2 lemon wedges arranged in a circle with a dill speckled cause and dill sprig on top of the sauce.

Almond flour and egg are used in the mixture to aid in binding the salmon patty together instead of breadcrumbs. The addition of jalapeno adds just a little bit of something extra to the flavor and goes great with the salmon.

    ❤️ Why you'll love it

High in Omega 3 fats: Salmon is one of the best fish to consume no matter what your diet is as it has Omega-3 fats which are heart healthy. They can also help with inflammation which is a goal of many keto followers (myself included).

Quick and easy: this is a quick and easy recipe to add to your weekly meal rotation!

Keto friendly: this recipe comes in at just 2 net carbs per serving and 39 grams of protein!

Canned salmon: be sure to pick through and remove any residual bones you may find in the salmon.

Jalapeno peppers: this is optional, pepper fans can include them and you can leave this out if feeding kids. Jalapenos can have different heat factors some may be super spice while others may seem mild. Go with what you are comfortable with.

Almond Flour: adds a little filler to help bind the fish with the egg.

    Eggs: used as a binder

Red Onion: added for flavor and color, a regular yellow onion can be used instead.

Mayonnaise: if your not lazy keto, then this brand is an excellent one!

    Cilantro: optional

    Olive Oil: for frying

    🍽 Equipment

Large stainless steel or cast iron skillet.

    #20 cookie scoop

    Wooden spoon

    Turner

A large stack of fried patties on a serving plate.

    🔪 Instructions

    Step 1:

    1. In a large mixing bowl combine the salmon, almond flour, eggs, red onion, mayonnaise, jalapeno, cilantro, salt, and pepper until combined.
    2. Scoop ¼ cup of the salmon mixture and shape into patties.

    Step 2:

    1. Heat a skillet over medium heat until hot. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and fry the patties 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
    2. Serve each patty with ½ tablespoon of dill sauce and sprig of fresh dill (if using)

    💭 Top Tips

    • If the salmon patties seem to be a little too wet, increase the almond flour by 1 tablespoon.

    🥫Storage

Refrigerate: store leftover salmon patties in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4 days.

Freeze: leftovers can be stored in an airtight freezer safe container up to 3 months.

Reheat: heat thawed patties in the microwave until warm or air fryer.
