    🥘 Ingredients

Please scroll to the bottom of the post for full printable recipe and instructions.

Ground beef: I recommend buying a lean ground beef

    Fresh tomatoes

    Onion

    Stone ground dijon mustard

    Garlic powder

Cheese: I went with a classic American cheese slices which is what you normally get on a take out burger.

    Salt and black pepper

    Worcestershire sauce

    Butter

    Brown sugar

    Everything but the bagel seasoning

    Sweet Hawaiian rolls

Bottom slider roll with cheese topping.
Cheese layer on bottom of bun
Bottom bun layer with cheese and meat mixture on top.
Even spread ground beef mixture over cheese.
    Bacon topping the meat mixture.
    Top with crisp cooked bacon.

    🔪 Instructions

    1. In a large skillet over medium high heat, combine ground beef and diced onions, cooking and chopping for 7 minutes, until beef is browned. Spoon any excess fat out of the skillet and place in a disposable container.
    2. Add the salt, pepper, onion powder, diced tomatoes, stone ground mustard, and worcestershire sauce and stir to combine. Cook for 2 minutes over medium heat, until tomatoes have released their juice and reduced.
    3. Cut the hawaiian sweet rolls in half lengthwise and place the bottom half in a 9x13 baking dish.
    4. Place 5 slices of american cheese in a single layer over top of the roll bottoms. You will need to cut one slice in half to make the cheese fit.
    5. Evenly spread the cooked beef mixture over top of the cheese layer.
    6. Place bacon on top of the beef mixture, then top with remaining cheese. Place bun tops on last cheese layer.
    7. Place the butter, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, and dijon mustard in a small microwave safe bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals, until butter is just melted. Stir to combine.
    8. Using a silicone brush, coat the top of the rolls with the melted butter mixture until completely saturated. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
    9. Place uncovered in preheated oven and cook for 25 minutes, until beef mixture is hot, cheese has melted, and tops of the rolls are golden brown.

    Small bowl

    🥫Storage

Refrigerate: store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4 days.

Freezer: store in a freezer safe airtight container up to 3 months.

Reheat: warm thawed sliders wrapped in aluminum foil in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes, until warmed. They can also be reheated in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes.

    📖 Variations

    • Substitute cheddar cheese or pepper jack cheese for the American cheese.
    • Use ground turkey in place of the ground beef.
    • Substitute sesame seeds or poppy seeds for the everything bagel seasoning.
    • Canned diced tomatoes can be substituted for fresh tomatoes.

    💭 Tips

    • Carefully separate the rolls before assembling the sliders. This allows for easy removal of the baked sliders from the baking dish.
    • Don't cover the baking dish with foil. Doing so will not allow the buns to brown and crisp up.
