These are the best Turkey Cranberry Sliders and they are a delicious way to use up Thanksgiving leftovers. These oven baked turkey sandwiches have that lovely sweet and savory combo of flavors that everyone loves and is one of my favorite leftover turkey recipes.

    ❤️ Why you'll love it

It tastes like Thanksgiving dinner: don't save this recipe just for thanksgiving leftovers, you can enjoy these cranberry turkey sliders year round!

Easy recipe to make : since you are using holiday leftovers, it is a simple assemble and bake.

Easy meal prep: this recipe can be assembled 3-4 hours ahead of time and stored in the fridge until you are ready to bake

All the delicious thanksgiving leftovers are combined with slider rolls and cheese for an oven baked delight!

    🥘 Ingredients

Leftover Thanksgiving turkey: or use your favorite deli turkey.

Leftover cranberry sauce: Use jellied or whole cranberry sauce. If using jellied, stir it well to make it spreadable

Leftover stuffing: use your own homemade stuffing (I love this recipe for Mom's Crockpot Stuffing) or buy Stove-top stuffing. I actually really love the flavor and convenience of stove-top!

Cheese slices: I used havarti cheese, I like the smooth mild flavor and think it goes well with the leftover ingredients in the sliders. Swiss cheese or provolone cheese will also work well with these sliders.

Slider rolls: I used Martin's potato slider rolls, which are a little bigger than some and it made 6 sandwiches. You can feel free to use sweet Hawaiian slider rolls in its place and you will get double the amount of sliders, they will just be smaller.

Mayonnaise: Hellmans is my choice of mayo, but go with your favorite one here.

Crumble the stuffing over top of the turkey and spread it out evenly.

Sweet hot mustard: I like the spicy sweetness contrast with Sweet Hot Mister Mustard brand and it give the mayonnaise spread a flavor that compliments everything else in the recipe. Dijon mustard in its place.

Snipped chives: they add color and flavor to the mayonnaise spread.

Butter: the base of the topping that aids in browning

    Brown sugar: adds a sweetness

    Garlic powder: contributes flavor

Worcestershire sauce: balances out the flavors of the butter sauce.

Everything bagel seasoning, poppy seeds, or sesame seeds: used to sprinkle on top of the buns (optional)

    🔪 Instructions

    🥄 Equipment

    Oblong baking dish

    Small bowl

    Silicone pastry brush

    Small saucepan

    🥫Storage

Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days.

    📖 Variations

    • Use your favorite cheese in place of the havarti
    • Substitute leftover ham for the turkey
    • Instead of buying rolls, use leftover dinner rolls to make the sliders.
Assembled sliders with topping before baking.
The sweet and savory butter mixture brushed over top of the slider rolls takes these sandwiches over the top!

    💭 Tips

    • Separate each bun before placing in the baking dish. This will make the sandwiches much easier to remove when they are done baking.

    🏫 The last word

This is a point of do as I say, not as I did. I mistakenly put the cranberry sauce on the bottom half of the bun and by doing so made the bottom of the roll soggy. That was a mistake!

Instead, place the cheese and turkey on first, then the cranberry sauce.

    Notes

Martin's potato slider rolls are larger than many slider rolls. Because of this, just 1 slider is considered a serving. Martin's does have a smaller package of rolls if you wish to have smaller sliders. However, feel free to use any other slider roll you wish, King's Hawaiian is a great brand also.
