A great recipe for the air fryer
Our whole family loves to eat venison. I grew up eating venison. When I met Grumpy, the first words out of his mouth were “nothing gets in the way of hunting season.” Good thing I was ok with that!
The night I served these venison steak bites, I decided that I wanted to try making them in the air fryer. I have been using the air fryer more often lately. I love how it quickly and easily cooks meat to perfection. It seals the juices inside with the hot air, and the result is a tender, juicy bite sized steak piece.
The venison marinade
You don’t really need a marinade to cook these venison steak bites in the air fryer. They would cook up perfectly delicious with just salt and pepper. The venison tenderloin is a great cut of meat that doesn’t need a marinade to tenderize it.
I used the marinade recipe to add another level of flavor to the venison. The entire family enjoyed this as an appetizer while standing around the kitchen bar. The steak bites disappeared quickly and the consensus was these bite sized pieces of venison tenderloin were delicious!

How to cook the Venison Steak Bites in a Skillet
Heat the cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Add the butter and let it melt and bubble. Add the venison steak bites to the skillet in a single layer, working in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook the steak bites until browned on all sides.
- Substitute beef sirloin steak for the venison
