Sweetened condensed milk: this comes in a can and is labeled as such. It is not the same as evaporated milk.

    Half and half

    Almond extract

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Place sweetened condensed milk, half and half, and almond extract in a quart sized mason jar.
    2. Tightly screw lid on jar and shake firmly until sweetened condensed milk has incorporated with the half and half.
    3. Store in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

    🥄 Equipment

    Quart sized mason jar

    Measuring cups

    Measuring spoons

    Can opener

Rubber scraper: to scrape the can of sweetened condensed milk clean.

Mason jar with sweetened condensed milk and half and half before mixing together.

    🥫Storage

Refrigerate: store coffee creamer in an airtight container up to 1 week.

    📖 Variations

Create your own coffee creamer flavors by changing and/or adding a few different ingredients:

    • Make vanilla coffee creamer by substituting 2 teaspoons vanilla extract for the almond extract.
    • Make mocha coffee creamer by eliminating the almond extract and substituting ½ cup of the sweetened condensed milk wiith ½ cup of chocolate syrup. Enhance the chocolate flavor more by adding a heaping tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder.
    • For mocha amaretto coffee creamer, follow the instructions above and leave the almond extract.
    • Pumpkin spice coffee creamer can be made by adding ¼ cup pumpkin puree and 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. Leave out the almond extract.
Iced coffee in a glass mug.

    💭 Tips

    • To prevent spoiling, freeze ½ of the coffee creamer recipe in an airtight freezer safe container. Thaw in the fridge before using.
    • For a creamier richer coffee creamer, use heavy cream or whole milk in place of the half and half.
    • To reduce fat, substitute 1% or fat free milk for the half and half.
    • If you like more intense flavors, increase the extract ¼ teaspoon at a time.
