Easy and Healthy Barbecue Chicken Pizza
I have always been a fan of sweet and spicy foods. Barbecue chicken pizza flavors have been a favorite of mine for years. And, while I love a non keto pizza, for the most part, I make keto friendly crust.
Because we do follow the keto diet, I need to find ways to make my tastebuds happy. So, I decided to do a sweet and spicy barbecue chicken pizza on my low carb pizza crust recipe.

Barbecue Chicken Pizza FAQ's
Flavors that complement the barbecue chicken flavors on this pizza are onion and jalapeno (to give a spicy kick to the sweet barbecue sauce). I like to sprinkle the pizza with cilantro right before serving.
Full fat Mozzarella cheese is what I find is best. You don't need a lot of it as it melts and spreads quicker and easier than part-skim. If you want a little blend of cheese, try some dry grated parmesan sprinkled over top after it has finished baking.
For this particular recipe, I do not put a sauce on top. Rather, I toss the chicken with the barbecue sauce to coat it. You will get the flavor from the chicken and won't have to spread sauce over the crust also.
Yes you can! There is a delicious recipe for pizza dough on my other website, Grumpy's Honeybunch. And, this pizza dough is made in the bread machine for convenience! Check that out if your not carb conscious!

Assembling the pizza toppings on the baked crust
This recipe is so easy! You start with your pre-baked low carb pizza crust. Then, you will assemble your toppings on it in the order that shows below!

First, you will layer your baked pizza crust with a sprinkling of full fat mozzarella cheese. I use full fat cheese because it melts easier and the fat content is great for Keto.

The next layer will be the chicken. Before I sprinkle the chicken on top of the cheese layer, I toss it with some sugar free barbecue sauce. My favorite sauce outside of homemade, is this G Hughes Sugar Free BBQ Sauce!

After the chicken is sprinkled over top I add some fresh, thinly sliced jalapenos and red onion. I like the contrast of the spicy jalapeno with the sweet barbecue sauce.

What to serve with Barbecue Chicken Pizza
Because I am such a huge cilantro fan, I always garnish my pizza with fresh cilantro! We are growing cilantro, onions, and jalapenos in our garden this year, so I am looking very forward to using them in this recipe!
I love to serve pizza with a nice fresh salad full of garden veggies. I make my own Thousand Island Salad Dressing recipe (also a keto recipe) that I like to serve over top of my salad.
