Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°.
In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage for 7 minutes, or until small pieces are no longer pink and have started to brown.
Drain the grease from the sausage and transfer the sausage from the skillet to a 9x13 glass baking dish coated with cooking spray.
Spread the crumbled sausage in an even layer over the bottom of the baking dish.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, half and half, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Pour the egg mixture over the sausage in the baking dish. Top with the shredded cheese.
Place frozen tater tots evenly over the top of the sausage, egg, and cheese mixture. Do not submerge the tater tots into the egg mixture.
Bake for 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center of the casserole comes out clean. Allow t sit for 5 minutes before serving.
