    ❤️ Why you'll love it

    • The air fryer method is the easiest way to get cook a turkey breast with delicious juicy meat
    • Air Fryer Turkey Breast is a great option for a holiday meal for a small crowd
    • It takes just a fraction of the time of an oven roasted whole turkey

    🥘 Ingredients

Turkey breast: I chose a bone in, however you can air fry a boneless turkey breast as well. Don't go over 5 pounds in weight.

Salt and black pepper: To season the turkey

Raw turkey breast on cutting board with salt and pepper.
Choose a turkey breast that will fit easily in the air fryer. Generally a 5-7 pound turkey will work for tray air fryers and 5 pound turkey will work best in a basket air fryer.
Patting turkey breast dry with a paper towel.
Use a paper towel to remove excess moisture from the turkey.
Preparing the turkey for air frying

    🔪 Instructions

    • Preheat air fryer on 350 for 10 minutes.
    • While air fryer is heating, remove turkey breast from packaging and pat the surface dry with a paper towel.
    • Rub turkey breast, including the sides of the turkey breast liberally with salt and pepper.
    • Spray air fryer basket or tray with cooking spray. Place turkey breast in the air fryer skin side down and air fry at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
    • Remove turkey breast from the air fryer and flip over. Return to air fryer and cook for 30 minutes longer, until instant-read thermometer registers 165 degrees F in the thickest part of the breast.
    • Remove turkey from air fryer and transfer to a cutting board. Vent with an aluminum foil tent and let rest 10-15 minutes before carving.

    🥄 Equipment

    Air fryer

    Meat thermometer

    Paper towels

Seasoned skin on, bone in turkey breast on the air fryer rack.
Liberly season the turkey all over with salt and pepper.

    🥫Storage

Store leftover turkey in an airtight container in the fridge up to 5 days or in the freezer up to 3 months.

    📖 Variations

    • Make a simple spice rub with dry seasonings: measure 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, thyme, rosemary, and poultry seasoning and rub over the entire turkey breast.
    Turkey breast in air fryer.
Lay the seasoned turkey breast skin side down in the air fryer basket or tray.

    💭 Tips

    • Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the turkey breast. Always gauge doneness by checking the internal temperature in the thickest part of the meat. It should register 165 degrees F for poultry.
    • A 5 pound turkey breast is about average size for air frying and anything bigger may not fit in the air fryer basket.
    • Always thaw a frozen turkey breast in the refrigerator. I take mine out of the freezer at least 2 days before I plan to cook it to be sure it is thawed completely.
    • Always use an instant read thermometer to gauge the level of doneness for the turkey.
