Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Browned Butter are one of my favorite vegetable side dish recipes to make in the air fryer. They are the perfect fall side dish and are especially prominent on holiday dinner tables. They crispy on the outside with a tender bite and oh so delicious!
Making brussel sprouts in the air fryer is probably the best way to bring out the most flavor in this cruciferous vegetable. These little mini cabbage like veggies cook up to a tender bite with slightly charred edges and are doused with a browned balsamic butter and topped with bacon.

Air Frying Vegetables
If you haven't made veggies in the air fryer yet, then you are completely missing out. The hot air will roast the vegetable cooking it on the inside until crisp tender and charring the outside just enough to give it that roasted flavor very similar to oven roasted.
The first vegetable I air fried was this Air Fryer Cauliflower with Sweet Chili Sauce. It was so delicious! Then, I tried the these Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower Bites and became addicted. This brussels sprouts recipe was the next one to try in the air fryer, and I do not regret it!
Ingredients
Fresh brussels sprouts are in season from September thru February but are often available year round. When they are in season, you will typically see them in the store right on the branch. They can also be found bagged in the produce section.
Salt and pepper to season the brussel sprouts.
Butter, balsamic vinegar, and soy sauce make the sauce that coats the brussel sprouts after they are cooked.
Crispy fried bacon is an optional ingredient but it adds another whole level of deliciousness to the brussels sprouts.
Serving Size
This recipe for Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts will serve 6 people as a side dish recipe. The bacon, although optional, is included in the nutritional information in the recipe card.

Medium sized mixing bowl.
Sharp knife to trim and cut the sprouts in half.

Step 1:
- In a medium sized bowl, drizzle the brussels sprouts with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to coat.

- Remove the butter from the heat and stir in the soy sauce and balsamic vinegar.

Serve With...
These air fryer brussels sprouts are great served with Air Fryer Steak Bites and Mashed Cauliflower with Garlic and Chives.
Top Tips
- Buy brussel sprouts that are on the smaller side. If the sprouts are large it is a good idea to cut them in half.
- If you like a more tender brussels sprout, soak them in water for 10 minutes and then pat them dry prior to placing them in the air fryer.
- Make the bacon ahead of time and just warm it up in the microwave prior to using.
Variations
- For a holiday side dish eliminate the bacon and toss ½ cup of pomegranate seeds in with the air fried brussels sprouts.
- Skip the balsamic browned butter and serve the air fryer brussel sprouts with Homemade Ranch Dressing or Chipotle Salad Dressing.
